“Research in Chemistry: From the laboratory to the computer” workshop at Saló de l’ensenyameny – Espai Ciència 2022

Every year, there is Saló de l’ensenyament- Saló Futura at Fira de Barcelona with a unique opportunity for high-school students and graduate students to get to know first hand the different universities, centres to study their bachelor and master. This time, the IQCC of the UdG did a workshop at Espai Ciència from Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca i la Innovació (FCRI) during Saló Futura with the aim to bring our science closer to high-school students and promote the Master’s Degree in Advanced Catalysis and Molecular Modelling (MACMoM). The Master provides students with the skills needed to address the design of new synthesis of products based upon processes catalyzed by transition metals, integrating the most innovative synthetic routes, and directing the students towards more sustainable, efficient and economical catalytic methodologies.

Last Friday, March 18, 2022, Espai Ciència – Saló Futura – Salo de l’Ensenyament 2022 took place at Fira of Barcelona. The event was organized from 16th of March until 20th of March, where there were different informative workshops and stands. The IQCC participated in a workshop on “Research in Chemistry: From the laboratory to the computer” by the postdoctoral researcher Dr. Hugo Valdés, Dr. Sergi Posada-Pérez, the project manager Dr. Teresa Corona and the master’s coordinator Dr. Anna Pla-Quintana to show our chemistry to high-school students and graduated students.
