Miquel Costas elected as new Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry

Miquel Costas has recently been selected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). This scientific society, founded in 1980, aims to promote the understanding and advancement of the chemical sciences. Although the vast majority of more than 54,000 members of the association are British, this is also open to researchers from around the world. Each quarter the society awards the title of Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) to about 100 chemists that have stood out for their contributions to the advancement of the chemical sciences.

Miquel Costas (ICREA Academia and ERC AdG) is an inorganic chemist who works in the field of biologically inspired design of transition metal reactivity and catalysis. He is a researcher of the Institut de Químicia Computacional i Catàlisi (IQCC) and professor of the University of Girona.
