Dr. Galeotti has recently become a new member of the Institute of Computational Chemistry and Catalysis (IQCC) as a postdoc. Dr. Galeotti received his PhD in Chemistry from University of Rome “Tor Vergata” (Italy) in 2022. During his PhD, he worked with Prof. Massimo Bietti and Prof. Michela Salamone on factors governing reactivity and selectivity in hydrogen atom transfer based C(sp3)-H bond functionalization. At this moment, he holds a postdoc position in Dr. Miquel Costas’s group of the IQCC. He is working on implementing cationic intermediates in manganese-catalyzed C(sp3)-H bond oxygenation. He started in July 2022 and he will be in the IQCC until, al least, December 2022.
