Cover Nat. Synth. on Engineering non-haem iron enzymes for enantioselective C(sp3)–F bond formation via radical fluorine transfer

The Nature Synthesis journal  features on its front cover of the August 2024 issue the research article “Engineering non-haem iron enzymes for enantioselective C(sp3)–F bond formation via radical fluorine transfer” by Dr. Garcia-Borràs in collaboration with Prof. Xiongyi Huang’s group. Enantioselective C(sp 3)–F bond formation is reported using an engineered non-haem iron enzyme. The process proceeds through a radical fluorine atom transfer pathway, which converts N-fluoroamides into chiral benzyl fluorides.
