The international leadership of the IQCC is demonstrated by the organization of scientific conferences such as the biannual Girona Seminars (11 editions on Computational and Theoretical Chemistry until 2014, starting from 2016 focusing on Predictive Catalysis to keep it in line with the goals of the IQCC), the XXXIV Congress of the Organometallic Chemistry Specialized Group of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry, and a total of 6 international conferences in the 2011-15 period.
EuroQSAR Symposia, the major scientific event in the field of computational drug design, with further applications in agricultural and environmental sciences, will take place in Barcelona from September 22 to 26, 2024.
Since 1993, the Institute of Computational Chemistry and Catalysis (IQCC) has been organizing this biannual conference. Early editions were focused on theoretical chemistry, which changed in 2006 when for every seminar a different research topic related to the IQCC interests was chosen. From 2016 onwards the conference series have the general topic of Predictive Catalysis.
The Girona Seminar has an outstanding reputation for excellence and highly engaged discussion, and it has become a focal point for scientists at the forefront of chemistry to present and discuss their latest developments. The meeting also aims at promoting new collaborations and it brings together young and senior scientists in a beautiful environment and in an informal and friendly atmosphere.
In order to put special emphasis on the research of young researchers, prior to the main meeting there will be a one-day Young Researchers Symposium. This symposium will be organized for, and by, PhD students in order to showcase their results, and we encourage all participants of the Girona Seminar to also attend this symposium.
We hope to count on your participation to contribute to this meeting.

International Symposium on Activation of Dioxygen and Homogeneous Oxidation Catalysis (ADHOC 2022), will be held in the city of Girona, Catalonia (Spain). The meeting will take place from September 4th to 7th 2022 in the Girona Auditorium Conference Center.
ADHOC is a triannual international conference that provides an ideal setting for interactions among academic and industrial researchers with expertise in the activation of molecular oxygen and hydrogen peroxide, organic oxidation reactions, and homogenous oxidation catalysis, in general. Recent ADHOCs took place in Xi’an – China (2018), Madison – USA (2015), Jerusalem – Israel (2012), Venice – Italy (2008), Cologne – Germany (2005), Atlanta – USA (2002) and York – UK (1999).
ADHOC conferences have an outstanding reputation for excellence and highly engaged discussion, and they have become a focal point for scientists at the forefront of the development of new catalysts, new oxidants, new methods for catalytic oxidation, ranging from commodity chemicals to the stereoselective oxidation of pharmaceutical synthetic intermediates, new mechanistic insights into oxidative processes, and many other subjects related to oxidations. The meeting also aims at promoting new collaborations and it brings together young and senior scientists in a beautiful environment and in an informal and friendly atmosphere.

Girona Seminars have taken place in the historic town of Girona every two years since back to 1993, with the aim of bringing together, in a beautiful environment and in an informal and friendly atmosphere, young and senior scientists. The next edition of the seminar focuses on Predictive Catalysis, where leading scientists in the field will share their expertise and recent studies. This sharing of information and knowledge will bring about a learning experience for young researchers who will be able to learn about the state-of-the-art in the field, and present their own results. It will also foster collaborative efforts between participants, which may be complemented through instruments available in national and European mobility programs.
