The Institute of Computational Chemistry and Catalysis (IQCC) of the University of Girona (UdG) is a leading chemical research center in computational chemistry and catalysis at the international level. The IQCC Alumni association brings together all former PhDs and postdocs who spent more than a year working in the Institute. While at some point in their careers, IQCC Alumni members were working at the IQCC, fellow’s careers have evolved in different directions, quite often beyond research.
At the IQCC Alumni, we praise this diversity and the potential positive impact this association may have in the IQCC policies. The IQCC Alumni organization serves as a venue for discussion between former IQCC researchers by bringing together alumni from various career stages and encouraging networking and cooperation. While maintaining a close relationship of the IQCC with former members is the association's primary goal, it also guides the design of the IQCC’s research policy in the future and offers job opportunities to previous IQCC members.
