Reactivity of the superhalogen/superalkali ion encapsulating C60 fullerenes

Encapsulated Li+/Li2F+ cations increase the reactivity of C60 fullerene in the Diels–Alder cycloaddition reaction with 1,3-cyclohexadiene, whereas encapsulated LiF2− anion leads to the most thermodynamically stable cycloadduct.
