Cycloaddition of CO2 to epoxides “around water”: a strategy to apply and recycle efficient water-soluble bio-based organocatalysts in biphasic media

A biphasic reaction approach is presented for the cycloaddition of CO2 to epoxides where the catalyst is dissolved in water droplets and the reaction occurs at the aqueous–organic interface allowing easy recycling of the catalyst by decantation.
