A CuI/CuIII prototypical organometallic mechanism for the deactivation of an active pincer-like CuI catalyst in Ullmann-type couplings

Decomposition pathways in Ullmann C–O couplings have been studied by helium tagging IRPD and DFT studies, supporting aryl–Cu^III intermediate species.
