Enhancing the statistical probability factor in triplet–triplet annihilation photon upconversion via TIPS functionalization

A new green-emitting annihilator, TIPS-PY is synthesized, which exhibits the high TTA-UC quantum yield of 13.7% for red-to-green upconversion due to the enhancement of spin statistical probability factor by TIPS functionalization of perylene.
