Last month the University of Girona (UdG) announced that Dr. Irene Casademont, former member at the Institut de Química Computacional i Catàlisi (IQCC), received the Alumin UdG award 2026, for her scientific career of research and knowledge.
Irene, who graduated in Chemistry from the University of Girona and did her Master in Advanced Catalysis and Molecular Modelling in the Institute of Computational Chemistry and Catalysis (IQCC) and is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Donostia International Physics Center, has developed an international research career focused on computational approaches and advanced materials.
The Alumni UdG Awards aim to recognize the talent, achievements, and societal impact of former students of the University of Girona.
